MP FLOORING (SE) LTD - SUSTAINABILITY COMMITMENTS

To demonstrate our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and increasing our sustainability actions, we are working towards key targets by 2030. These are:

Reducing our carbon footprint

To reduce our carbon footprint for scope 1 and scope 2 through a combination of increased efficiencies and renewable energy.

Recycling

To encourage circular economy solutions, and increase purchases of materials from product suppliers with proven sustainability policies wherever possible.

Scope 1

Transportation owned or controlled by us will conform to the highest standard applicable to the make/model and type of transport. Journeys will be as efficient as possible in terms of frequency and distance. Equipment will be PAT tested annually and inspected on an ongoing basis to ensure it is operating in the most efficient way.

Materials will be sourced wherever possible from manufacturers and suppliers with proven or active sustainability policies. Materials or waste will progress to be transported and processed in accordance with the highest environmental standards to ensure efficiency in energy and to lower any adverse impact on the environment. Waste management will be monitored and where recyclable this will be implemented. We have certification from the Environment Agency as waste carriers - Cert no. CBDU104428 and arrange disposal of non-recyclable waste with a waste management company which manages a comprehensive sustainability report.

Scope 2

We are proud that our premises have been environmentally sound with respect to energy usage and conservation of energy i.e. insulation, double glazing and renewable power (solar), since 2014. We will continue to assess energy usage and its efficiency on an ongoing basis.

Scope 3

We are committed to ensuring that the purchase of materials and goods for onward sale are from manufacturers and suppliers with sound sustainability policies and commitments. We will endeavour to make recommendations of materials from such manufacturers to increase the usage of environmentally sound products.

Waste will be recycled wherever possible. When not possible will be disposed of by a waste management company in accordance with all relevant environmental waste recommendations and requirements.

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint, increasing our sustainability activities, and advancing our environmental performance on an ongoing basis with regular reviews on our progress.
